We write business plans for US and Canadian immigration, and help entrepreneurs grow and raise capital.

Getting a Visa? A Business Plan Isn’t Enough. You Need Strategy.

Getting a Visa? A Business Plan Isn’t Enough. You Need Strategy.

Anyone can write a business plan.

But knowing what to include in it - and understanding how every detail can either support or hurt your visa petition - that’s an entirely different story. And that’s exactly what we do best.

At Visa Business Plans, we don’t just write. We consult. We evaluate. We strategize.

When you work with us, we don’t just take what you give us and plug it into a document. We ask you detailed questions, and once we receive your input, that's when the real work begins. We review your answers carefully. We highlight strengths we can amplify. We flag weaknesses. Sometimes we’ll say, “This section could be risky, let’s speak to the client.” Other times, we’ll say, “This could get your visa denied — we need to talk to your attorney ASAP.”

We’re constantly evaluating both the immigration side and the business side to protect your chances of success. If there’s risk, we manage it — and more importantly, we offer solutions.

Let me share a story.

A few months ago, we had a client whose business involved distributing several consumer products. One of them was based on CBD oil — which, as you know, is widely sold in the U.S. The client assumed it wouldn’t be an issue. But for us, the alarms went off immediately.

Yes, some states allow cannabis products. Yes, CBD is fairly common. But at the federal level — where your visa is being judged — marijuana and its derivatives are still frowned upon. So we said to the client:

“You have many other products you can focus on. Let’s consider not offering this one, and here’s why…”

The client appreciated our insight. A few weeks later, the visa was approved without any issues.

And to think that was under the Biden administration.

Under Trump, it would have been 10x riskier. Possibly a denial.

That’s the kind of guidance we bring to the table.

Because our goal isn’t to “deliver a document.” Our goal is to get your visa approved. And that means doing things differently.

Here’s another example.

Recently, a client came to us with a business model that we had seen work successfully many times under Biden. In fact, the attorney who referred them said, “This is a great model — Visa Business Plans has had great success with it!”

But when we reviewed it, alarms went off. I called the attorney and said:

“Under Biden, yes — this worked. But under Trump, this model is likely to fail.”

The attorney went quiet. Then asked: “What do we do?”

Our team immediately worked to pivot the model — keeping the core intact, but adapting it to align with the current political climate. The attorney was beyond grateful, and the client’s visa strategy is now far stronger.

This is what we mean when we say we act like your strategic partner, not just a writer.

Preparing for a Visa Is Like Training for the Olympics

You don’t just show up on race day and hope to win.

You eat right, you train, you measure everything. You prepare.

It’s the same with a visa. Especially now, under the Trump administration, where every case is placed under a microscope.

That’s why we provide our clients with the services they need to prepare on every front.

1. Set up professional bookkeeping.

Not only does this help you stay audit-ready and avoid penalties — it gives you visibility into your business performance from day one. Why is this important? Remember the U.S. doesn’t give visas to failing businesses.

2. Handle payroll properly.

Employee classification is serious. A simple mistake can lead to devastating consequences. We connect you with professionals who get it right the first time.

3. Build a solid online presence.

You may not know this, but the U.S. government checks your website and online footprint — quietly, but thoroughly. If your website contradicts your visa package in any way, it can and will be used against you. It can even be a cause to call “misrepresentation” (the one word you won’t ever want to hear from the U.S. government!)

We’re not just here to write a strong business plan — we’re here to build your entire strategy so your business in the U.S. is solid, sustainable, and successful.

Because getting approved is just the first step. Staying compliant, profitable, and protected?

That’s the part that really matters.

We don’t just write. We think. We evaluate. We protect.

And that’s what makes the difference.
